Please could the widget be available with a choice of fixed backgrounds in addition to the newly introduced dynamic background please? The dynamic background automaically applied accordign to my wallpaper is not to my taste and does not fit with my overall theme. Pockertcasts version 7.54-rc-2 (9176) running on android 13, with Nova launcher and “Colorful Fluids” animated wallpaper.

Does this mean your updating the widget offering on Android? I’ve been wanting a larger range of widget options and ones that change colour dynamically with the colour scheme for a long time!

@mattwoodrow95 We can’t make any guarantees, but we do track demand for different feature requests. This then helps our small team decide which features to prioritize developing.
I’ve made sure to add your comments to our existing report on widget improvements as well!

Brilliant, thanks! Since I last posted, you have released an update that has added ‘dynamic colours for widget’, which I was pleased to see. I wonder if you could give us the ability to adjust the transparency of the widget as well – as it currently is, the actual buttons on it tend to disappear on my home screen because the background of the widget is too transparent.

I’m unable to use the new widgets at all on Android 9. Just get an “unable to add widget” message.

The new widget is awful. You can reduce it to 3×1, but the skip forward button is cut off. When at the standard 4×1, the touch targets for skip forward/back and play/pause are now tiny. It’s also just not as pleasant-looking as the previous widget. Please revert it back and try again if you’re up for it.
