Alexa+ Support

  Hi, my Echo has upgraded to Alexa+ but the PocketCasts skill doesn’t seem to work with Alexa+. Any chance of an update so I can keep listening to my pods in the kitchen, please?

  This is a known issue we’re tracking. Amazon’s Alexa+ rollout changed how third-party skills are launched by name, and the Pocket Casts skill is affected along with other streaming skills. Disabling and re-enabling the skill, relinking your account, or rephrasing the command won’t resolve it.

  The only confirmed fix right now is switching your Amazon account back to the standard Alexa experience (in Amazon’s own Alexa+ settings). If you’d rather stay on Alexa+, setting up an Alexa routine to resume Pocket Casts playback does still work, since routines use a different route than launching the skill by name. We’ll update the Known Issues page when there’s news.

  Thanks. I’ve created a routine that starts Pocket Casts by saying “Listen to Pocket Casts” which solves the problem perfectly.
