Bug in timers and episode marked as played

There’s a long standing issue with intelligent playback resumption when used with timers – if you set the timer to stop when the episode ends then the episode isn’t actually marked as played and it remains as unplayed but with 0secs remaining

Hi, @alexwaddell! What you’re experiencing is actually by design.
For context, the sleep timer is purposely designed to not completely finish the current episode. That is so the episode doesn’t get deleted or archived if you do fall asleep while it’s playing. The idea is that, when you wake up, you have the option to resume the episode if you ended up falling asleep while it played previously. You can also choose to mark it as played instead.
