Feature Request: Ability to turn off the appearance of automated transcripts

yes, this is precisely my issue. Sometimes loading is janky and the button covers the description. I posted in support in another thread where someone raised this issue and because it’s not replicable every time, staff seemed to shrug and move on. I’m ethically opposed to GenAI at the best of times and even more so when jamming it into a product makes the existing product worse, but I guess this is the enshittified world we live in now. Many other users (outside this thread) seem thrilled to have more slop in their lives and did indeed ask for it so I think the only solution is to find another podcast app. I truly hope ethical developers recognise the desire a large amount of people have for LLM-free products. I am going to be really happy to give those people my money.

Is there some or any news on this topic?
I know it’s basicaly more of a bug request than a feature request, but still…How are things done in the newest version of the PocketCasts App on Android? I’m using the last version befor the AI [censored] appeared and am not willing to try the newer version just to check this.

I can’t speak to Android. But on my iPhone the first lines of transcripts no longer appear.

(Noting that I am not a paid member. I don’t know what happens if you’ve paid, but as a free member it no longer sits there offering me a transcript that I can’t actually access.)
