Feature Request: Independent Playlist Playback (Separate from Up Next)
Currently, when you play a playlist in Pocket Casts, it replaces the Up Next queue. I’d love to see the ability to play a playlist independently, without affecting or replacing the Up Next queue. A must feature!!
This would allow users to:
- Play through a curated playlist in order (like history podcast or investigative series etc)without disrupting their existing Up Next queue (current events/ news)
- Switch between playlists and Up Next independently. (I mean what’s the point of playlists really?)
This is especially useful for users coming from other podcast apps (I was a fan of Overcast for years) where playlist and queue playback are handled separately. Would love to see this added as an option in a future update!
