iOS Smart Playlist Crash

On my iPhone 15, iOS 26, every time I try to use the Create a Smart Playlist app, the app locks and closes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times with no luck. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thanks!

Sorry to hear the app keeps crashing when you try to create a Smart Playlist. Let’s see if we can get this sorted.
A few things worth trying first:
- Check your app version. Go to Profile > Settings (gear icon) > About to confirm which version you’re on. If you’re not on 8.14, updating may resolve the crash on its own.
- Restart your iPhone. A full power cycle can clear temporary system-level issues that survive an app reinstall.
- Try the steps again after restarting. The steps to create a Smart Playlist are: tap the Playlists tab, tap the plus icon in the upper-right, give the playlist a name, then tap Make into smart playlist. Our Smart Playlists KB article has the full walkthrough.
If the crash keeps happening after all of that, we’ll want to dig into your crash logs, but since that involves sharing private diagnostic data, the best path is through the in-app support flow where logs are attached automatically.
