NO Amazon Fire Tablet compatibility?!?

    Side-loaded Google PlayStore on Amazon HD8 Fire Tablet & successfully found ‘Pocket Casts‘ – only to be informed: “This app won’t work for your device” With Kindle books & Audible books/programs (+ much music) on tablet, this is extremely frustrating! — Anyone have a good workaround? — * __________________________________________________________________________________ *yes, I did set up Alexa link — hardly the same functionality as full-fledged app!

    Thanks for reaching out to us about this. It is possible that your Android version is quite outdated, or the method used to sideload the Play Store has caused that error since the Play Store is not officially supported on the device.

    I would recommend you attempt downloading the latest apk version of the app via our Github to see if it makes a difference: https://github.com/Automattic/pocket-casts-android/releases/latest

    That said, I am afraid that we cannot guarantee support for this method of installing the app.

    A firetv version of pocket casts would be nice. Navigation does not work properly when using the github version.

    I can confirm that a feature request has been opened for that. Our developers will consider it when deciding what new features they want to implement.
