Playlist from uploaded files stops playing
-
After creating a playlist from uploaded files, it stops at the end of each file and will not play the one that is in the playlist.
Another interesting observation is that playlists from podcasts has to be started before it can be Cast to Google Speaker. It also refuses to play the next item on the playlist. The only way is to stop Cast, play the podcast then Cast.
What else can I try please?

I’d like to help! Can you tell me more about the playlist you’re making? I’m not sure if you’re referring to our Up Next queue or our Filter feature. The more details you can share about how you’re making your playlist the better we’ll be able to assist.

It is a series of MP3 files that I uploaded. I create a playlist so that the files are played in the right order.
As for the Cast issue, it is regular podcasts e.g. BBC and MP3 files.
The interesting thing is that it works just fine on the Android app.

Thanks for sharing that with us, @paladin1st!
I could not replicate the issue issue where playback stops when adding custom files to my Up Next Queue. Are you able to share with us the exact steps you are following to replicate the issue?
With regards to Casting, can you confirm if your Android device has ‘Unrestricted’ Battery Usage set, as explained here: https://support.pocketcasts.com/article/how-to-give-pocket-casts-unrestricted-battery-access/

Sure. Steps:
- Upload files
- Rename file names e.g. ABC01, ABC02 etc
- Create Playlist
- Play
As mentioned, it works fine on Android app but not on the web player

Thanks for the detailed steps!
This has now been reported to our developers. However, it will likely take some time to address this particular issue, which unfortunately I don’t have an exact timeframe on.
Thanks for your patience and understanding in the meanwhile!
