Pocket Casts web app is broken on Edge and Firefox

Using the Pocket Casts web app for both Edge and Firefox have broken players, (and in Firefox’s case the actual UI itself), is bugged as well. The web player refuses to play certain podcast episodes, and elements of the UI are overlapping too.

The Pocket Casts app for Desktop PC is working just fine. The problem seems to be with the Pocket Casts web app on web browsers.

  • Hi there, @thethingking91!

Thanks for getting in touch and for explaining what you’re seeing in Edge and Firefox. Since the desktop app is working, this does look specific to the web player rather than your account or the podcasts themselves.

To troubleshoot, first try opening Pocket Casts in a private/incognito window in both Edge and Firefox. This will quickly show whether extensions or cached data are involved. Next, temporarily disable any extensions that might affect media playback or page layout, such as ad blockers, privacy filters, dark‑mode or theme injectors, then reload the web app and test again. It also helps to clear the cache and cookies specifically for Pocket Casts (pocketcasts.com / play.pocketcasts.com) in each browser, then sign back in and see if playback and the UI improve.

Please also double‑check that both Edge and Firefox are fully updated to their latest versions, and review the site permissions from the padlock/icon in the address bar to ensure media and related content aren’t being blocked.

If you still need help after trying the steps above, please reply with your OS, browser versions, and whether incognito or disabling extensions changes anything—that will really help us track this down.
